Fatality of a French Navigator in a March Mishap in Morocco

Moscow, April 26 – Team Xtreme+ reported on Facebook that French navigator Laurent Lichtluchter died as a result of an accident in the Moroccan Desert Challenge rally raid.

The accident occurred on Wednesday at 54 kilometers into the special stage. Crew 237, consisting of Patrice Garst and Lichtlochter, had an accident with another participant in the race. The blow fell on the navigator’s door. After the collision, the car caught fire. Garst was able to leave the car, sustaining serious burns. Lichtluchter died instantly.
