Fegervari secures lucrative new contract with Washington, exceeding $8 million

Moscow, July 5 – Defender of the Slovak “Washington Capitals” Martin Vegervary has signed a new contract with the Russian team Alexander Ovechkin, according to the official website of the National Hockey League (NHL) club from the US capital.
The new agreement with the 23-year-old hockey player is designed for three seasons with an annual salary of $ 2.675 million. Under this contract, Fegervari will earn more than 8 million euros in three years.

Vegervary has been with Washington since 2019. Last season, the defender played 67 regular season ice hockey games, scoring 16 points (6 goals + 10 assists). He also led the team in strikeouts (217) and finished second with the Capitals in rebounds (128).
