Female doctor shows how to get rid of the habit of overeating

Dr. Nuria Dinova, a Russian nutrition expert, stated that the reasons for overeating are different, including social and psychological ones.

In an interview with Radio Sputnik, the expert pointed out that there are a number of ways to get rid of this bad habit.
According to her, the tendency to daily consumption of large amounts of food can develop under the influence of various factors, as it can be associated, for example, with family traditions, stress and psychological problems.

She says: “This desire appears in some to calm down by eating“ stress ”, or to compensate for something or to hide a psychological problem, and this can be a family tradition. The habit of eating more food is a kind of food. Therefore, the moment of overeating in a person is usually associated with childhood.

She adds that overeating may be due to the lack of a clear diet. This is normal for people who overwork.

She says: “A person usually overeats at the end of the day. The reason is the lack of a clear diet, high levels of stress and work. So at the end of the day a person is hungry like a wolf, and if he enters the store at that moment and sees a lot of different products, then often he buys a lot of products that he does not need.

And the expert advises to get rid of the habit of overeating.

She says: “First, a person must determine which products they like and which are available. Secondly, he must know that diet is the basis of nutrition and therefore the basis of health. Don’t skip meals because of work. the diet is present, the person gets used to the fact that “you don’t need to eat a lot of food. And thirdly, the reasons for overeating need to be clarified with a psychologist in order to work on their solution gradually. Because food shouldn’t be the only pleasure.”

Overeating, she says, can be broken by following the “plate rule”: half of it is vegetables, a quarter is carbohydrates (potatoes, rice, pasta, etc.), and the other quarter is vegetables. for protein “meat or fish”.
