FIFA announces its first female Global Fan Ambassador

On Monday, FIFA announced the appointment of Adriana Lima, a Brazilian model, actress, businesswoman and global fashion icon, as FIFA Global Fan Ambassador.
And FIFA stated on its official website that Adriana Lima will work in this role, develop, promote and participate in many global initiatives that involve fans from all over the world.

For his part, Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, said: “When you meet Adriana, you immediately feel her kindness and the extent of her love and passion for football. She lives and breathes the game and that’s what allows her to be the perfect connection between FIFA and fans around the world.”
Regarded as one of the most successful supermodels of all time, Adriana said: “Given that I grew up in a humble family and since I am originally a football fan, I am very grateful and honored that FIFA chose me as their first fan ambassador and take over this role to help fans get closer.”
Adriana Lima, in her role as FIFA Global Fan Ambassador, will present the Best of the Year Award to fans during the FIFA Awards Ceremony in Paris on Monday evening.
