Fire erupts in sauna in Kazan

Kazan, May 10 – The fire broke out in the sauna of a recreation center in Kazan, and 120 people have been evacuated from the building, according to the main department of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry in Tatarstan.
“At 18.18 (coinciding with Moscow time – ed.), a message was received about the triggering of an automatic fire alarm in a four-story building of a recreation center at 46 Mazita Gafuri Street in Kazan. Fire departments quickly arrived at the scene, ”says the report.
During the reconnaissance, the firefighters discovered thick smoke, and smoke was coming from the sauna room on the second floor of the building. The fire of two of the gas and smoke protection service links had been put out, and two of the connections continued to reconnoiter other places.

It was determined that prior to the arrival of the fire departments, 120 people had been evacuated independently, including 40 employees.
There were no reports of injuries. At 6:43 p.m., firefighters put out the fire. The cause of the fire is determined.
