Five were killed in an Israeli attack on Damascus

Cairo, February 19 – Five people were killed in an Israeli attack on the Syrian capital, Damascus, according to the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV, quoting a source in the Syrian Ministry of Health.

Earlier, a source in the Syrian capital’s police told the News Agency that a residential area in southern Damascus was subjected to a missile attack and at least one residential building was damaged. The director of Al-Mujtahid Hospital in Damascus, Ahmed Abbas, told Al-Watan newspaper that the hospital had received the bodies of three dead and two wounded. He indicated that the condition of the injured is stable.

On Sunday evening, the News Agency correspondent reported that strong explosions were heard in Damascus. Later, the Syrian state broadcasting agency reported that air defense systems were reflecting Israeli missile strikes in the sky over the Syrian capital.
