Floating Restaurant Silver Wheel Sinks in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, March 27 – The floating restaurant “Silver Whale”, which stands near the embankment near Obukhovskaya Oborony Avenue, has begun to sink, and an inspection is being carried out, the Transport Prosecutor’s Office of North-West reports on its Telegram channel.

“The North-West Prosecutor’s Office organized an audit of the implementation of legislation on safety in the operation of water transport in connection with the accident at the Silver Whale floating facility on the Neva River in St. Petersburg,” the agency said.

From the video distributed by the Transport Prosecutor’s Office, it can be seen that the landing stage restaurant is now located on the beach, where emergency response work is being carried out.

Earlier, local media reported that the owner of the floating restaurant offered it for sale for 35 million rubles in the summer of 2022.
