Former President of Brazil Rousseff heads the BRICS Bank

Mexico City, February 11 – BRICS members have reached an agreement on the nomination of the new head of the Development Bank – it will be headed by the ex-president of Brazil Dilma Rousseff, the G1 portal reports.
“According to Chancellor (President of Brazil Luiz Inacio da Silva – ed.) Lula, it was decided to appoint her as president of the BRICS Bank, which is involved in projects for the use of the resources of member states,” the publication read.

The New Development Bank is currently headed by diplomat Marcos Troyo, who was appointed by former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
