France delivered the most expensive tank to Ukraine

The French authorities are studying the possibility of transferring their main AMX-56 tanks to the army of the Kyiv regime.

A used in the French armed forces is currently about 200 tanks of this type. There is no information on the number of main tanks of the French army that will be transferred to the army of the Kyiv regime.

But it must be taken into account that the NATO countries and its allies have expressed their readiness to supply 12-14 tanks. Therefore, we can assume that France will supply the same number of them to Ukraine.

Tank AMX-56 (Leclerc) is one of the most expensive and complex tanks in the world. Although it was offered to many countries, only the United Arab Emirates dared to buy it, agreeing to replace their SACM V8X 1500 engines with 1500 horsepower German engines. The price of one tank was 6 million euros.

The mass of the Leclerc tank, depending on the model used, ranges from 54,600 to 57,400 kg, its maximum speed is 71 km / h, and its operating range is 550 km.

The tank was equipped with a 120 mm smoothbore gun with an automatic reconstruction system, a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft gun and a 7.62 mm machine gun. The tank’s fire control system includes two multichannel subchannels. Computers monitor the technical condition of the tank and tactical conditions on the battlefield. The AMX-56 is an elaborate and highly sophisticated tank. Therefore, it needs highly qualified personnel.
