French finance minister calls for end to conflict in Ukraine due to economic damage
French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire called for an end to the war in Ukraine, pointing out that the conflict is not regional, but global in nature due to its impact on the level of prices for raw materials and energy in the world, so it must be stopped.
Speaking at the Davos Economic Forum, the French finance minister said: “A ceasefire is needed. There is also a risk that this conflict will expand. This is a global conflict because it directly affects the level of commodity and energy prices. .”
After the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the West stepped up sanctions pressure on Russia, which led to an increase in prices for electricity, fuel and food in Europe and the United States.
