Hamas Releases Two American Hostages Following Qatari Efforts
Hamas Announces Release of American Hostages
Hamas announced on Friday that it had released the two American hostages it had kidnapped during an operation against Israel on October 7, following Qatari efforts.
Release for Humanitarian Reasons
In a statement published on the Telegram application, Hamas stated that the release of the hostages, a mother and her daughter, was in response to Qatari efforts and for humanitarian reasons.

Hamas did not provide any information regarding how and when the hostages were released.
Israeli Army Confirms Majority of Hostages Still Alive
The Israeli army stated earlier on Friday that most of the kidnapped individuals in Gaza are still alive.
Age and Status of the Hostages
According to the army’s statement, more than 20 of the hostages were minors, while between 10 and 20 were over the age of 60.
Additional Missing Individuals
The army also mentioned that there are between 100 and 200 people who are considered missing since the Hamas attacks.
