Handball player Divac’s cause of death revealed

Moscow, April 18 – Three-time Russian handball champion Victoria Divac, whose death was known to be on April 17, fell from the window, REN TV channel reports, citing a source close to the situation.

The body of the handball player, who played for “Astrakhanochka”, was found on Monday near the house on Sofia Perovskaya Street in Astrakhan. The regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting an investigation into the death of a 29-year-old girl, all the circumstances of the accident are being verified.

Divac started her career at the Volgograd club “Dynamo Sinara”, with which she won the Russian championship three times. Then the handball player performed in the Krasnodar “Kuban”, the German “Halle-Neustadt”, the French “Achenheim-Trochersheim” and the Belarusian “Gomel”. Divak transferred to Astrakhanochka in 2021. As part of the Russian junior team in 2009, Divak won silver at the European Championships.

On Sunday, the handball player took part in the match of the Russian championship against CSKA.
