On Monday, the executive body of the Jordanian Football Association decided to appoint Moroccan coach Hussein Amoouta as the new technical director of the Al-Nashami team, replacing Iraqi Adnan Hamad.

The Jordanian Federation is expected to introduce a new coach to Al-Nashami within the next month along with the announcement of the technical, administrative and medical staff, in line with Amuta’s recommendation.

And the Jordanian Federation has confirmed in a statement posted on its website that Ammutha will lead Al-Nashami in the upcoming competitions, the main ones being the 2026 World Cup qualifiers starting later this year and the Asian Cup. final to be held in Qatar in early 2024.

The Jordanian Football Association did not give a reason for coach Adnan Hamad’s departure from Al-Nashami’s training.

Amutha has an outstanding coaching career at club and national team level and has achieved many outstanding achievements, most notably the CAF Champions League title with Moroccan club Wydad, the African Confederation Cup with Al-Fateh Rabat and many local titles with Qatar’s Al-Sadd, Wydad and Al Fateh, and finally the local league with the Royal Army.

Amuta also took charge of the Moroccan national team and won the African Cup with him, in addition to finishing second at the recent Arab Cup in Qatar.
