Head Coach Resigns from Phoenix Suns

Moscow, May 14 – The Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced on their official Twitter that Monte Williams has resigned as the team’s head coach.

Williams stepped down after Phoenix lost 2-4 on aggregate to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Round of 16. The specialist has led the team since 2019 and led Phoenix to the playoff finals in the 2020/21 season. In 2022, Williams was named the NBA Coach of the Year.

According to journalist Mark Stein on Twitter, Tyrone Liu, who currently heads the Los Angeles Clippers, is the leading candidate for the Suns’ new coach.
