High-speed artery that will connect two Istanbul airports
The new Istanbul Airport, located in the European part of the city, located in the north of the European part of the city, will be connected by a high-speed train to Sabiha Gokcen Airport, located in its eastern Asian part.
Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adel Kara Ismailoglu said the high-speed train will link two Istanbul airports.
“We are planning to extend the Ankara-Istanbul express line to the new Istanbul Airport via Sabiha Gokcen Airport. The project is approaching the bidding stage,” Anadolu agency quoted the minister as saying.
It is noteworthy that the new Istanbul Airport, which is located 40 km north of the city on the Black Sea coast, has been providing its services to travelers since April 2019.
