Moscow, February 17 – Oleg Leontyev, head coach of Neftekhimik, said that the team’s defender Kirill Vorobyov escaped injury after being hit in the neck, the official website of the Nizhnekamsk team of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) reports.
On Friday, Neftekhimik lost to Avangard Omsk in the overtime match of the regular season of the KHL with a score of 1: 2. Earlier this season, Vorobyov broke the record of Avangard defender Vil Boca for the most blocked shots in one season (161).
