Moscow, January 8 – The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Carolina Hurricanes in an NHL regular season game.
The meeting, which took place in Columbus, ended with the victory of the hosts on penalties – 4: 3 (0: 0, 2: 3, 1: 0, 0: 0, 1: 0). As part of the Blue Jackets team, Russian striker Kirill Marchenko scored a hat-trick in regular time (28th, 30th and 46th minutes). He also catches his attempt in the crossfire.
