Identifying symptoms and causes of arrhythmias
Cardiologist Dr. Denis Sokolov said that fading of the heart and dizziness may indicate an irregular heartbeat.
In an interview with the Izvestia newspaper, the specialist indicated that arrhythmia may be associated with high blood pressure, infections, anemia and other conditions.
According to him, arrhythmia is accompanied by a change in the regularity of heart contractions. A person can feel it in the form of palpitations, chest discomfort, cardiac arrest, weakness, dizziness, suffocation, loss of consciousness.
He adds: The main cause of an irregular heartbeat is heart disease, which leads to a change in the structure of the heart. This condition can result from high blood pressure, infections, congenital or acquired heart defects, cardiomyopathy, and myocardial infarction.
He says: “Arrhythmia can occur after taking certain medications. It can be caused by bad habits – smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs. Also, high or low concentrations of potassium or magnesium and other mineral elements in the body can lead to arrhythmias.”
The specialist notes that the factors that cause heart rhythm disturbances are thyroid disease, heredity, low blood sugar, overweight, iron deficiency anemia, hormonal imbalance, high cholesterol and bone necrosis.
The specialist emphasizes that the cause must be established before treatment begins. Therefore, you should contact a specialist doctor to conduct an ECG and prescribe appropriate drugs for treatment.
And he says: “The doctor prescribes the appropriate method of treatment, based on the level of the disease – with the help of appropriate drugs and drugs or surgery. He may be given a pacemaker, defibrillator, or radioablation.”
