Moscow, April 22 – The coffee and sandwich index “(“Sandwich”), which reflects the picture of Russian consumption of popular breakfast foods, decreased in the first half of April by another 3.6 points and reached 98.4 points.
The index was developed by the News Agency on the basis of data provided exclusively to the agency by specialists from Index Verification of the main analytical resources. The “basket” on her account included seven goods – frequent guests of the morning tables of Russians: a loaf (400 grams), ham (200 grams), butter (180 grams), cheese (200 grams), cucumbers (500 grams), instant coffee ( 95 grams), sugar (1 kilogram).
For products from the consumer’s “basket”, Index Receipt analysts calculate regularly aggregated impersonal sales indicators (average invoice). 100 basis points are calculated as the value of the “Coffee and Sandwich Index” from October 1 to October 15, 2022. Its change corresponds to the arithmetic mean of the average check dynamics for each of the seven products.
