Simferopol, February 21 – The Speaker of the Crimean Parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin about his readiness to conduct nuclear tests is a red line for the West.
On Tuesday in Gostiny Dvor, Putin read a message to the Federal Assembly, in which he said that the United States is developing new types of nuclear weapons and Washington is considering the possibility of testing nuclear weapons. In this regard, Putin instructed the Russian Ministry of Defense and Rosatom to ensure readiness to test Russian nuclear weapons in the event that the tests were conducted by the Americans first.
“This is an important strategic decision. This is the so-called red line that will indicate our readiness to the West in the event of its rejection in this geopolitical confrontation,” Konstantinov said on the air of Crimea 24 TV channel.
