St. Petersburg, December 23 – The Minister of Health of Karelia, Mikhail Okhlopkov, said that all school students in Petrozavodsk will go on vacation from December 26 due to an increase in cases of influenza.
On his page, he wrote: “The flu situation is still severe. Therefore, the leaders of Petrozavodsk schools made the right decision. From December 26, all schoolchildren from grades 1 to 11 will go on vacation. This will help break the chain of infection.” On the social network VKontakte.
Okhlopkov noted that adult patients can be contagious for up to 7 days, and children, especially the youngest, can be contagious for much longer.
