In the Saratov region, the Investigative Committee opened a case of murder of a newborn child

Saratov, December 23 – The regional administration of the RF IC reports that a resident of the Saratov region is suspected of killing a newborn girl, whose body the police found in a forest belt near the city of Kalininsk.

Earlier, the investigation reported that in November, a resident of Kalininsk complained to the police that her 37-year-old pregnant neighbor had lost signs of pregnancy, but was hiding the baby. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in December, the body of a newborn baby was found by the police outside the city in the “Dudnikov-Leh” forest belt. The investigation and the prosecutor’s office began to check.

“A criminal case has been initiated against a 37-year-old woman on the basis of an offense under Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation“ murder of a newborn child by a mother. The 37-year-old is a sexual child, while she was not registered for pregnancy. Immediately after his birth, she (the child) denied him (the child) access to oxygen, through which the message says “a newborn died.”

The penalties provided for in this article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provide for a prison sentence of up to five years.

The department added that investigators are conducting investigations aimed at securing evidence.
