Tyumen, February 6 – The Leninsky District Court of Tyumen sentenced a local resident to 5 years in a criminal colony in the case of selling burnt vodka that killed 5 people, the joint press service of the judicial system of the Tyumen region reports to the News Agency.
It was established that in November 2021, the defendant purchased from one friend at least 15 boxes of alcoholic products under the labels “Springs of Siberia” and “Royal Hunt Platinum”, containing methyl alcohol, and sold them to another friend for further sale. According to the SUSK of the Tyumen region, in January 2022, five people developed fatal poisoning from this substitute, which was purchased in a grocery store.
“The Leninsky District Court of Tyumen passed a sentence on 54-year-old Ibrahim Gudzeev, convicting him of selling products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, committed by a group with prior conspiracy, who negligently caused the death of more than two people (Part 3 of Article 238 of the Law RF penalties), and was sentenced to 5 years in a penal colony.
