Insight into the Presence of Mercenaries from Over 15 Nations in Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass

Luhansk, June 19 – The presence of foreign mercenaries from more than 15 countries has been recorded near the contact line in the Kobyansk, Krasnolemansk and Donetsk directions, military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrey Marochko told the News Agency.

Marochko noted that most of the mercenary groups were identified in the Donetsk and Kubyansk directions.

The Ukrainian offensive in the Yuzhno-Donetsk, Orekhovsky and Vasilevsky directions of the Zaporizhia Front, as well as in the Artemovsky direction, began on June 4, while the main offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was concentrated on the Zaporozhye Front. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian armed forces. At the same time, the Russian president said that the tasks set by Kiev could not be achieved in any of the combat zones.
