The Argentine network tntsports has confirmed that Lionel Messi is only thinking about taking on a new challenge, but it will not be in the United States of America or even in Saudi Arabia.

She noted that recent statements from Barcelona officials, vice-president Rafa Yusti and Barca coach Javi Hernandez opened the door for Messi to return to the Catalan club.

She added that although this option is gaining momentum, it still does not have official status.

The Argentinean network said that interest in Messi’s services came from Saudi Arabia and the American Pro League, especially Inter Miami, whose star owner David Beckham is actively seeking to secure a contract with Leo.

And TNT Sport received exclusive information about Messi, who gave the final answer about his move to the United States of America.

According to journalist Arturo Bolian, Messi wants to stay on the old European continent and play at a high competitive level because he intends to compete in the 2024 Copa América.

He explained that Messi wants to stay to “do other personal tasks” without specifying what those tasks are, making a move to America unlikely for him now.

And it’s not just the United States of America, but also Saudi Arabia, which means that Messi is still “very far away from them,” the Argentinean network writes.

Journalist Polian concluded: “The only club (in Europe) that has made a formal offer to Lionel Messi and his family is Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi was forced to leave Barcelona in August 2021, after the end of his contract with the Catalan club, and the administration led by Juan Laporta failed to sign a new contract.

This was due to the salary cap law introduced by the Spanish League as well as the suffocating financial crisis that the club was suffering from.
