International Monetary Fund’s Board of Directors Approves $15.6 Billion Plan to Assist Ukraine
The Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund approved a $15.6 billion bailout plan agreed with the government of Ukraine on March 21.
The IMF said in a statement on Friday that the four-year plan would “support a gradual economic recovery, setting the stage for long-term growth in the context of post-conflict recovery and on the path to European Union accession.” .”
It is noteworthy that the approval of the plan paves the way for the provision of the first batch of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 2.7 billion euros.
