Introducing Turkey’s Ship-Landing Drone Technology

Ankara, March 28 – Turkey intends to present the world’s first unmanned aerial vehicle capable of taking off and landing on ships with a short runway at the end of April, Anadolu Agency reported.

“The Turkish company Baykar will for the first time present its latest Bayraktar TB3 drone at the TEKNOFEST-2023 Aviation and Space Technology Festival, which will be held from April 27 to May 1 at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Test flights begin this year,” – the agency sends .

It is reported that Baykar Makina Selçuk Bayraktar’s Technical Director and CEO Haluk Bayraktar informed President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the company’s projects earlier.

“The Bayraktar TB3 with foldable wings will be the first armed unmanned aerial vehicle in the world capable of taking off and landing on short runways, including the Turkish naval command ship TCG Anadolu. The Bayraktar TB3 can be controlled from very large distances, both for reconnaissance and surveillance purposes, and for strike purposes. Thus, the Bayraktar TB3 drone will greatly contribute to strengthening Turkey’s military potential, ”the publication specified.
