Iraq’s Oil Ministry Announces Crude Oil Export Statistics for September
The Iraq Oil Ministry recently released preliminary statistics on the volumes of crude oil exported and revenues achieved in September of last year. These figures provide an insight into the country’s oil industry’s performance during that period.
Total Export Volume and Revenues
According to the Ministry of Petroleum, the total export volume of crude oil in September amounted to 103,143,199 barrels, generating a revenue of $9.494 billion. These figures were based on the preliminary statistics released by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company SOMO.
Distribution of Exports
The statistics revealed that the majority of crude oil exports, totaling 102,220,441 barrels, originated from oil fields in central and southern Iraq. Additionally, 449,423 barrels were exported to Jordan, while 473,335 barrels came from the Qayara region.
Average Daily Export Volume and Price
The average daily export volume for September reached 3,438,000 barrels per day. Furthermore, the average price per barrel stood at $92.05.
Transparency Initiatives
In an effort to keep the public informed about the country’s export operations and the revenue generated from them, the Ministry has adopted a monthly reporting practice.
