Israeli missiles intercepted by Syrian air defense in southern region

Moscow, April 9 – The Syrian Ministry of Defense said on social media that the Syrian air defense systems shot down several Israeli missiles in the south of the country.
The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the Syrian army’s air defense managed to shoot down some of the missiles launched by Israel from the Golan Heights at a number of points in the south of the country.
It should be noted that the Israeli shelling began at around 5:00 local time (coinciding with Moscow time). The Israeli forces attack also resulted in “material losses”.

The Syrian news channel had reported earlier that a series of explosions had occurred in Damascus. Their case is being investigated.
On Sunday, the Israeli military also said it opened artillery fire at Syria in response to rocket fire at the Golan Heights. It had earlier confirmed that three rockets were fired towards the Golan Heights, two of which reached Israel. One of the missiles fell in an open area, and the second was shot down by missile defense systems.
This is the second missile attack on Israeli territory from Syrian territory within hours.
