It’s Official..Ismailis Announce ‘Mido’ Successor

The Egyptian Ismaili Football Club announced on Thursday the appointment of Hamza ElGamal as the team’s new coach, replacing Mido’s Ahmed Hossam, who was sacked on Wednesday due to poor results.

Ismaily said in a statement that he had announced the team’s new technical squad during a press conference held on Thursday afternoon at the club’s headquarters.

He explained that the new technical staff includes Hamza ElGamal as technical director, Ahmed Kinawi as head coach, Mohamed Homs as head coach, Ayman Kamal and Ahmed Lotfi as assistant coaches and Syed Tawfiq as goalkeeping coach.

In a statement, Al Ismaili indicated that the new device will lead the team starting today as part of the preparations for the Future match at the Al Salam Stadium in the Egyptian Football League’s 20th round competition.

And Mido took over the Ismaili training after the sacking of Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido due to poor results, but failed to return to the path of victory in nine matches under his leadership, content with an orphan victory against five draws and three defeats.

Ismaily is 17th in the Egyptian league with 14 points.
