Jordan’s Oil Contract with Iraq Extended

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy, Minister of Oil of Iraq Hayan Abdul Ghani received the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Saleh Ali Hamed Al-Kharabshe and the delegation accompanying him.

During the meeting, ways to intensify and develop bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries in the oil and gas sector were discussed, and an agreement was reached to extend the export contract by 10,000 barrels per day, starting from May 2023 for a period of one year. .

The Iraqi side was attended by the Deputy Minister for Production, the CEO of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company, the CEO of the Economic Department, the CEO of the Legal Department and the Director of the Iraqi Government Information and Communications Office. Communication office.

The Jordanian side was attended by a delegation accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ambassador of Jordan in Baghdad.
