Tron founder Justin Sun just announced on Twitter that his term as ambassador to Grenada will end on March 31.

Justin Sun has resigned from Tron to serve as Grenada’s ambassador to the World Trade Organization. Recent reports indicate that Justin Sun may no longer serve as Grenada’s ambassador.

Sun is no longer Grenada’s ambassador

Sun tweeted that his aforementioned ambassadorial term ends on March 31. He announced his future career aspirations, announcing his intention to join the cryptocurrency field.

However, Sun would first delegate his responsibilities as ambassador to a successor.

Crypto KOL intends to take a short break after transferring his responsibilities before returning to the cryptocurrency industry.

Grenada Broadcasting Network (GBN) reported that Justin Sun had been sacked earlier.

The New National Party that gave Sun the ambassadorship lost to the Democratic National Congress, which won the general election in June 2022.

The government of Grenada has selected Sun to serve as the country’s permanent representative to the World Trade Organization in December 2021.

Since then, Sun’s Twitter handle has been seen to have the “HE” prefix, a symbol used for high-ranking authorities or diplomats.

In his tweets, Sun seemed grateful for the opportunity to work with the WTO.

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all WTO members, our partners, and colleagues, in particular the Director-General of the WTO, Dr. @tweet for her support and cooperation during my tenure.”

However, despite the rumours, Sun insisted that he was still a diplomat in Grenada on occasion before accepting that he had lost the post.

Sun shared a screenshot from March 31, claiming to have an active profile as Grenada’s ambassador on the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) internal registration page.

The Tron founder also provided a screenshot of the internal WTO website, naming him as Grenada’s permanent ambassador.
