Kaher Real Madrid and Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia Agree on a Deal
Saudi Al-Nasr football club has reached an “initial agreement” with Portuguese Luis Castro, coach of Brazilian club Botafogo, to take on the task of training the Al-Alami team, according to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper.
Luis Castro, 61,’s contract with Botafogo expires next December as the newspaper pointed out that Al-Nasr club officials have given the Portuguese coach until early next week to make a final decision on the offer.
The Al-Nasr club hopes to resolve the coaching dossier before the start of preparations for the new season, as those in charge are confident that Castro will make his decision in the specified period, noting that there are alternative options that can be explored, according to the newspaper.
Luis Castro has training experience in the Persian Gulf, where he led Qatari club Al Duhail in 2021. He has also coached clubs such as Porto, Rio Ave and Vitoria Guimarães in Portugal, as well as Shakhtar Donetsk which led him to defeat Real Madrid back and forth in 2020 in the Football Champions League .
