Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, the Egyptian star of Al Ahli, made a promise to the club’s fans after the Red Castle’s victory over the Pyramids and the crowning of the Egyptian Football Championship on Monday in the capital Cairo.

Al Ahly defeated the Pyramids 2–1 in the final match of the Egyptian Cup to lift the cup for the 38th time in their history, breaking away from the lead, 10 titles behind their traditional rival Zamalek.

Kahraba said during an appearance on the Al Ahly channel: “We dreamed that we would win the cup. We thank the Al Ahly fans and thank the technical staff for their trust, in addition to my father and mother for their support and support for me.”

He added: “In the past period, I was patient because of the love of the Al Ahly fans for me, and I don’t want anyone to get upset with me. I promise the Al Ahly fans that in this year there will be all the championships.”

Regarding the image of Moamen Zakaria on the shirt, he explained: “My heart felt that I would score a goal.

Zakaria, 35, suffers from muscular dystrophy, which prevents him from playing football.

And Kahraba added: “I was confident in myself. I used to say that if I play 3 or 4 matches in a row, I’ll be back well, and no matter what happens, there will always be rumors, but I closed myself. It was very difficult for messages to reach me”.

And he continued: “I dedicate the cup to myself, because next Thursday I will be 29 years old. I am still young, and I have 7 or 8 years ahead of me at the ball.”

He concluded by saying, “Some time ago I met Imad Miteb and he spoke to me and said, ‘You are still young and you have 10 years ahead of you, and I thank him for his support.’

Kahraba, the Al Ahli striker, is awaiting a special meeting with his club officials in the coming hours to reach a final decision on Zamalek’s fine, which is in excess of $2 million.

Kahraba left Zamalek in the summer of 2019 without the approval of his club’s management, despite the length of his contract, to move to Deportivo Avis before he terminated his contract with the Portuguese club and returned to Egypt in January 2020 from Al Ahli Gate” to a free transfer.
