Kamchatka hit by 4.2 magnitude earthquake on Richter scale

Vladivostok, May 10 – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred in the Elizovsky district of Kamchatka, and tremors with a magnitude of up to 3 points were felt in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

It is noteworthy that the epicenter was located in the Elizovsky district, 15 kilometers northeast of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky metropolitan area.

The report says: “On the territory of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky metropolitan area, tremors with a strength of up to 3 points were felt. There were no casualties or destruction. No tsunami danger was declared.”
