Karpin Expresses Remorse Over Comments About Working in Russian National Team

Moscow, March 29 – The head coach of the Russian national football team, Valery Karpin, said that he regretted his words about working in the national team.
Earlier, Karpin said, in a press conference before the Iraqi national team match, that he did not stick to his place and did not see a problem in the possibility of being expelled from the national team.

Oleg Matitsyn, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, responded to Karpin’s statement earlier, saying that expressing indifference in sports leads to a path to nowhere, and “the head coach of the Russian national football team is the face of the country.”
