KHL Teams Smash Record in Gagarin Cup Opening Round

Moscow, March 11 – Continental Hockey League (KHL) clubs have broken the Gagarin Cup first-round performance record, scoring a total of 248 goals, the league’s press service reports.
The previous achievement was set in the first round of the Gagarin Cup in 2011, when a total of 237 goals were scored.
Also the record for the first rounds of the playoffs was the average performance of 5.77 goals per game.
