Simferopol, May 27 – Yevgeny Paletsky, acting head of the region, told the News Agency that Ukrainian forces are using British missiles to bomb the rear areas of the Zaporozhye region.
“They (Ukrainian forces), unfortunately, are bombing our deep rear, including with the British missiles that you supplied them with,” Paletsky said.
According to him, the enemy strikes anywhere, but sometimes it hits critical infrastructure.

The acting governor of the region stressed that they “disburse the missiles without counting.”
The Zaporizhia region became a subject of the Russian Federation after the referendum held in September 2022, the results of which Kiev does not recognize and continues to bomb the region. Today, more than 70% of the Zaporozhye region is under Russian control, and the former regional center of the region, the city of Zaporozhye, is still under the control of Ukrainian forces. Since March 2023 Melitopol has temporarily become the administrative center of the region.
