Kudermetova Advances to Third Round of Madrid Tennis Tournament

Moscow, April 28 – Russian tennis player Veronika Kudmitova advanced to the third round of the tournament in Madrid, the prize fund of which exceeded 7.7 million euros.

In the second round match, Kudermetova (12th seed) defeated Spaniard Nuria Barrezas Diaz with a score of 6: 3, 4: 6, 6: 2. The meeting lasted 2 hours 25 minutes.

For reaching the 1/8 finals, Kudermetova will compete with the winner of the match between Russia’s Anastasia Potapova (21) and Romanian Jacqueline Christian.
