Lahnu, Chess player, defeated in the fifth round of FIDE Grand Prix held in New Delhi.

Moscow, March 30 – Russian chess player Ekaterina Lagno lost to the Chinese Zhou Jin’er in the third stage of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Grand Prix, which is being held in New Delhi (India).
Today, Thursday, the match of the fifth round between Lahnu and Zhou Jen’er, in which the Russian player played with black pieces, ended with the 41st move, with the victory of the Chinese player.
Lahnu suffered its first defeat in the tournament, having previously held one win with two draws.

The stage will finish in New Delhi on April 5. The Grand Prix series consists of four stages. The best chess players will be selected at the end of the series for the Candidates Tournament. FIDE allows athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete in individual championships only under the organization’s flag.
