Moscow, February 26 – France’s Perrin Laffon and Canadian Mikael Kingsbury won two gold medals in the double moguls at the World Snowboarding and Freestyle Championships in Bakuriani (Georgia).
Olympic champion Lavon defeated American Glenn Kauf in the final. The bronze went to Avital Karol of Austria. The top three looked quite the same in Saturday’s singles competition.
And Lavon, at 24, became the only five-time world champion in Mogul history, defeating Canadian Jennifer Hill and Norwegian Carrie True, who each captured four titles.

In the final of the men’s tournament, the champion of the 2018 Games Kingsbury defeated Swede Walter Wahlberg. Third place went to Australian Matt Graham. All three also stood on the podium at the poles championship finish on Saturday.
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has suspended the Russians and Belarusians from the final starts of last season due to the situation in Ukraine. In October, the FIS Council extended the suspension for the 2022/23 season.
