Leader of Primorye’s Biggest Dental Network Released from Pre-Trial Custody

Vladivostok, May 3 – Eduard Babakukyan, CEO of the George Group, the largest dental network in Primorye, whose brother was accused of ordering the murders in the early 2000s, was released from custody, a source in the law enforcement agencies of the region told the News Agency.
In early March, Babkokhyan was detained on suspicion of transferring bribes totaling 155,000 rubles to an employee of the pre-trial detention center. The investigation finds that he transferred money to transport alcohol and means of communication to his brother, who is in a pre-trial detention center in the contract killing case. Edward was arrested for two months, until the beginning of May. In mid-March, the court dismissed the complaint regarding the brothers’ detention.
“The preventive measure for him (Edward) was changed from detention to prohibiting certain procedures,” the source said.
