Moscow, January 19 – Former Boston Celtics player and coach Chris Ford has died at the age of 75, according to the team’s official website.

Ford died on Tuesday, and the cause of death was not given.
During his football career, Ford played for the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics. Together with Boston, he became the NBA champion in 1981. Ford is famous for shooting the first three points in the NBA. It happened on October 12, 1979. After his playing career ended, Ford became a coach and led the teams Boston, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers.
