Moscow, March 19 – British mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Leon Edwards defeated American Kamaru Usman and retained the UFC welterweight championship belt.
The main event of the 286th tournament in London lasted all five rounds and ended with the victory of the Briton by majority decision.
This was the third face-to-face confrontation for the athletes: the first confrontation ended with Osman’s victory by unanimous decision, while Edwards took revenge in 2022 by disqualifying his opponent a minute before the end of the title fight.
