Likhachev schedules the next meeting of Russia-China Nuclear Subcommittee

Moscow, May 25 – Director General of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev told reporters that the next meeting of the Russian-Chinese subcommittee on nuclear issues will be held in Russia in July.

Earlier, Likhachev met in Beijing with the head of the Chinese Atomic Energy Agency Zhang Kejian, where they discussed current projects and prospects for cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.

Likhachev announced an agreement reached with his Chinese colleagues to hold a regular meeting of the Russia-Chinese subcommittee on nuclear issues.

He said that the meeting will be devoted to Russian-Chinese projects aimed at developing fourth-generation nuclear reactors and developing two-element nuclear energy.
