LNR said that Kyiv is transferring new forces to the Svatov direction

Luhansk, December 25 – Citing intelligence data, Andrei Marochko, an officer of the People’s Militia of the LPR, told the News Agency that the Ukrainian command is deploying additional forces in the Svatov direction in Donbass.

Marochko explained that such a decision came due to the heavy losses in the Ukrainian forces and the ineffectiveness of their firearms.

“This measure was imposed on the Ukrainian leadership, since the health and irreparable losses exceeded the estimated numbers, and the firepower turned out to be ineffective,” the officer noted.

The situation escalated in the Svatovsky direction in Donbass a few months ago. Ukrainian security forces regularly bombard Svatovo from American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and try to break through the defenses in this strategically important area, opening the way to a number of settlements in the republic.

Since February 24, a special military operation has been launched in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin described it as the ultimate task of liberating Donbass and creating conditions that guarantee Russia’s security.
