In the Liverpool match against Newcastle United, which took place today, Saturday, at the stadium “St. James’ Park” in the 24th round of the English Premier League, the latter’s goalkeeper Nick Pope was fired.

A great rapport between Brazilian goalkeeper Alison Becker, Liverpool goalkeeper, and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, 22 minutes into the first half, resulted in the Newcastle goalkeeper being sent off.

Alisson set up a counter-attack with a long through ball that passed to Salah, who was alone in the home goal, and goalkeeper Nick Pope came out in an attempt to cut off the ball, but he was late with this and had to play with his hand outside the penalty area, so the referee gave him a red card in face.

The result saw the Reds push ahead with two early goals scored by Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez and Dutchman Cody Jacobo in the 10th and 17th minutes respectively.

And Alison Salah’s pass has previously resulted in several goals, as happened to Manchester City this season and Manchester United this season (2019-2020).
