Maduro declared his willingness to normalize diplomatic relations with the United States

CARACAS, January 2 – The Venezuelan president said that his country is ready to normalize diplomatic relations with the United States.

Maduro said in an interview with journalist Ignacio Ramoni: “Venezuela is ready and fully prepared to take steps towards the normalization of diplomatic, consular and political relations with this US government and with the future government.”

Relations were severed in 2019, when the United States recognized Juan Guaido, who had illegally declared himself president of Venezuela.
