CARACAS, April 19 – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, handed him an invitation to Russia from President Vladimir Putin.

Maduro saluted the Russian delegation and stressed that he knew “how fruitful the work was in Brazil and now in Venezuela.”

The meeting takes place in the official residence of the Venezuelan leader, Miraflores Palace.
Prior to that, Lavrov had already met in Caracas with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil and Vice President Delcy Rodriguez.
