Makhachev said that Habib’s advice would have helped him in the fight with Volkanovsky

Moscow, February 12 – Russian mixed martial arts fighter Islam Makhachev said the tips of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov would have helped him during the fight with Australian Alexander Volkanovsky.
Makhachev defeated Volkanovski and defended his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title for the first time. The bout was headlined by UFC 284 in Perth, Australia and went through all five rounds. Makhachev won by unanimous decision, becoming the best fighter in the league, regardless of weight categories (P4P). Nurmagomedov was not present at this fight.
